This Refund Policy explains the refund and reimbursement terms for PayFly, operated by Wilk Industries LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
---
## 1. Overview
PayFly charges a transaction fee of 1% of each payment processed, in addition to Stripe's payment processing fees (typically 2.9% + 30c per transaction). This policy explains when and how transaction fees may or may not be refunded, and how refunds to your clients are handled.
## 2. Transaction Fees Are Non-Refundable
Once a payment is successfully processed through Stripe, the 1% PayFly transaction fee charged by PayFly is **non-refundable**. This fee covers the cost of facilitating the transaction through our platform and Stripe's payment infrastructure.
**Example:** If you process a $1,000 invoice payment, the $10.00 PayFly fee (1%) is non-refundable once the payment is processed, even if you later issue a refund to your client. Stripe's processing fees are also non-refundable per Stripe's terms.
## 3. Refunds to Clients
If you need to refund a client for an invoice payment:
- (a) Refunds are processed through Stripe, not through PayFly.
- (b) You must initiate the refund through your Stripe dashboard or via our Service if a refund option is available.
- (c) Stripe may charge its own refund processing fees. You are responsible for any Stripe-imposed fees.
- (d) PayFly's 1% transaction fee is **not** refunded when you issue a refund to your client.
- (e) Refund timing depends on the client's bank and Stripe — we do not control or guarantee refund processing times.
## 4. Failed Transactions
If a transaction fails due to insufficient funds, card decline, or other payment processing errors:
- (a) No PayFly fee is charged, as the transaction was not successfully processed.
- (b) No refund is necessary because no fee was collected.
- (c) You may retry the transaction or send a new payment link to your client.
## 5. Chargebacks
If a client initiates a chargeback through their card issuer:
- (a) The chargeback is handled by Stripe and the client's card issuer — we have no control over the outcome.
- (b) PayFly's 1% transaction fee remains **non-refundable** regardless of the chargeback outcome.
- (c) Stripe may impose additional chargeback fees, which are your responsibility.
- (d) We recommend providing clear invoice documentation to support any dispute response.
## 6. Double Charges or Processing Errors
If you believe a transaction was processed in error or duplicated:
- (a) Contact us at support@payfly.co with the transaction details within 30 days of the transaction.
- (b) We will investigate and, if a processing error is confirmed on our end, refund the erroneously charged PayFly fee.
- (c) Refunds for the underlying payment amount must be handled through Stripe.
## 7. No Refunds for Service Interruptions
We do not offer refunds or credits for service interruptions, downtime, or delays caused by:
- (a) Stripe outages or maintenance;
- (b) Internet or telecommunications failures;
- (c) Force majeure events;
- (d) Issues beyond our reasonable control.
## 8. Limitation of Liability for Refunds
Our liability for any refund-related claim is limited to the PayFly transaction fees paid by you in the six (6) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for the underlying invoice amounts, Stripe fees, or any indirect or consequential damages.
## 9. How to Request a Refund Review
To request a review of a PayFly fee:
- (a) Email support@payfly.co with your account email, transaction ID, and reason for the request.
- (b) We will respond within 10 business days.
- (c) Approved fee refunds will be credited to your connected payout account within 14 business days.
